Beauty is…in the eye of the beholder.

My son is all boy. He always has been. At any point in time he can almost always be found with a ball in his hand. If it isn’t an actual ball, it is a virtual ball, or a book about balls. So when he told me he wanted to participate in the National PTA Reflections contest whose theme this year is “Beauty is….” I thought it would be pretty interesting to find out what he thinks is beautiful. So he struggled a little bit and the other night I asked him “Gage, what do you think is beautiful?”  Without hesitating he said “Cars….and baseball” :) I should have known.

So the contest has 6 different categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and the visual arts (which includes art forms such as drawing, painting, print making, and collage).  Gage chose photography.

The rules state that the image has to be straight out of the camera. In either color or black and white.

*All of these images were taken by Gage and are sooc. I added the watermark for copyright purposes but they are his.*

I think this last one is going to be the one he submits in the contest.
I’ll keep you posted on what happens with the contest but regardless, I’m a very proud mom.
