So many people already know what Elf On The Shelf is but in case you haven’t heard about it, here’s how the story goes….Santa sends an elf to your house and he watches over your kiddos during the day and at night, while they are sleeping, he flies back to the north pole (using Christmas magic, of course) and reports the children’s behavior to Santa. This is our first year to adopt an elf! We didn’t know what we were missing out on!
We have a pretty mischevious Elf named Coker! As soon as I asked my 3 year old what he thought we should name him he started jumping up and down yelling “Coker! Coker!” So, Coker it is! Every morning I wake up to Luke’s little feet running across my carpet. There’s no need to set an alarm clock with him around. He’s got pretty reliable timing! Well, before Coker made his big appearance, Luke would climb into bed with me and hug on me until I was ready to get up. Now, he runs in and yells “Mommy! Wake up! Where’s Coker?!” So we get up and go hunt for Coker!
I thought I would share a little bit of Coker’s adventures!
Some of the pictures are with my camera and some are with my phone. Please, PLEASE, don’t judge my awful iPhone pics! I don’t always have time to get my camera out before Luke has demolished Coker’s set-up! Honestly, I cringe at most of these pictures. The light is awful in my house but oh well…I’ve had to learn to get over it!
Day 1. Coker and his buddies are already getting into trouble! They raided the Halloween candy and spent the night playing Luke’s favorite board game! Luke saw Buzz eating a Snicker’s and quickly snatched it away and finished it off! So much for a healthy breakfast!

Day 1. Coker dyed our milk blue! Of course, Luke wanted nothing to do with the blue milk and I had to make a run to the store for another gallon!

Day 2. A Christmas parade! (Taken with my iPhone)

Day 3. Coker built his very own zip line from the front door to the Christmas tree!
Day 4. Coker wrapped our Christmas tree in toilet paper! Luke made me take it down almost immediately and my fast iPhone snap is so bad that I refuse to post it. Sorry!
Day 5. There was a pool party at Coker’s place!

Day 5. We got home from work/school to find Coker had been playing on Gage’s XBox! (Taken with my iPhone)

Day 6. Coker went for a hot air balloon ride!

Day 7. Coker left Luke a note and cooked us all breakfast! Not without playing in the mess first, though!![]()
(taken with my iPhone)

Day 8. Coker and his buddy, Robot, are roasting marshamallows!

I’ll try to post more of Coker’s messes as December rolls on! I hope each and every one of you are having a wonderful Christmas season!
